PhotoAffections.com™ accepts orders from and ships orders to the Continental United States, Alaska and Hawaii. Currently, we do not ship to any other U.S. Territories, or APO/FPO addresses.

Orders placed online, through PhotoAffections are received by our personnel Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. central time, however, a confirmation e-mail will be sent within moments of the placement of any order. The status of any order may also be checked at any time by by logging into your account. Once your order is shipped, you may track your package from your account by clicking on the details of your previous order, followed by the "Status" tab.

Our normal turnaround time for your first proof is TWO BUSINESS DAYS, however we commonly have proofs ready in ONE BUSINESS DAY or less for orders placed Tuesday - Friday. After your approval, your order will be shipped in two business days or less, though most orders are shipped the day after approval.

During the holiday season (November and December) we may extend our proofing/printing time by a day or so. In this event, we will post a prominent notice on our website. You may estimate when you will receive your order by viewing our "proof and production" chart.

Online Preivew Tool - Computer Requirements


Availablity of the Online Preview Tool requires the use of Internet Explorer version 7 or 8, Firefox, or Safari - though there may be slight display differences in Safari. If you are using Internet Explorer 6, or any other brand of browser, you will not see functioning options for online preveiws. Please consider upgrading your browser to IE 8 or Firefox (we recommend Firefox).

The Preview Tool is intended for broadband internet connections and requires no software downloads. If you experience technical issues, please make sure of your browser version. You may also wish to temporarily disable any stringent security software which may block certain JavaScript functions. Please feel free to contact us if you experience any unusual and/or repetitive issues.

Of course, if you do not have the time, or if you do not need an online preview, you can also choose the "Let us do it for you" option, which is directly beneath the preview tool launch button on some designs. Regardless, ALL orders, both previewed and not, include proofs as part of the completed order.

Getting your image(s) to us


FFor orders using our Online Preview System, you will upload your images while previewing your card - these images will be submitted to us automatically upon placing your order.

For designs not available in the preview system, for the most accurate and timely service, please have your images ready for immediate upload after placing your order. You may also access the photo upload form by viewing the Photo Info section at the "HELP" menu at the top of any page on our site - please be sure to include your Order Number.

Due to Payment Card Industry requirements, orders will automatically cancel if images are not received within 7 days. In order to qualify for any special offers, (sales, discount codes, etc.) we must receive your image(s) within 5 days after the date of your order.

Please read our Photo Requirements for more information on sending us your photos, and additional recommendations.

The Proof Process


For orders placed "outside" of the Online Preview System, as needed, we provide up to 3 revisions at no additional charge. Online Preview orders will receive up to 2 revisions at no additional charge.

You will receive your proof invitation via email in one or two business days, based upon our current Proof Schedule. To provide you with the quickest turnaround time possible, if changes/corrections are needed, please be as thorough as possible in your first proof response, as each response may extend the order by a full business day.

Proofs must be of the same design. If you wish to see an original proof of a second design, we do charge a $15 set-up fee for the second set-up, unless you wish to print the minimum order of that design as well. Simply request this in the special instructions during checkout, and confirm your acceptance of the additional charge - there is a limit of two design set-ups per order/customer/event.

The Online Preview System facilitates previewing unlimited designs with your own photos and text, with reasonable accuracy. With the exception of some text and image refinement, there will NOT be significant differences on the final proof. If you should wish to switch designs after using the preview system to place an order, please note a $20 cancellation fee does apply.

If you are not entirely sure about the image(s) you have selected, we do accommodate requests to switch out up to three images per order at no charge. However, this request must take place upon viewing the first proof. Switching out more than three images, or changing images after the first proof response, will require a $10 charge due to the additional set-up time. Switching back to a previously used image does not incur any additional charge. With this in mind, please be reasonably confident in the images you have selected before placing an order by screening your images on your computer. Be sure to consider horizontal/vertical images compared to the orientation of the design sample, in addition to overall quality, i.e. clarity, resolution, exposure, etc.

Online Payment in "Real Time"


For your protection and ours, the payment process is "live." When beginning the checkout process, please have your payment information handy, including the 3-digit "security code" from the back of your card.

Although the vast majority of online transactions are effortless, there are a few situations that can cause problems. Most of the time, the fix is quite simple.

When entering your account information, keep in mind that your BILLING address MUST MATCH the address your credit card company has on file. You may ship to any address you wish by filling in shipping information on the following screen. Billing address "mismatches" are the most common cause of problems during checkout.

IMPORTANT:Debit Cards work differently from credit cards. When you use a Debit card for any payment, your bank will automatically reduce the funds available to you. if you use a Debit Card for payment, you will see a decrease in your available balance at the time you place your order. If this is a potential problem, we suggest not using a Debit Card for payment.

If you are using a Debit Card and encounter any sort of decline, DO NOT attempt to checkout repeatedly! Each checkout attempt may cause your bank to deduct these funds from your available balance.

Shipping Info


We ship exclusively via UPS within the continental US. Ground shipping to Alaska, Hawaii addresses is by USPS Priority Mail. This total amount can be shown by entering the shipping destination zip code in the shopping cart. Once we get your final proof approval, Orders will be printed and shipped within 2 business days. If UPS ground is selected at checkout, shipping takes between one and five business days depending on your location. Please refer to our UPS Zone Chart to estimate how long your order may be in transit. You can estimate when you will receive your order by viewing our "proof and production" chart. USPS Priority Mail is between 2-3 days nationwide.

We pay close attention to the packing of all items to insure that they arrive intact! Please inspect your order upon arrival. In the unlikely instance your order has been damaged, please notify us within 3 business days so we may begin the claims process. DO NOT DISPOSE OF DAMAGED ITEMS or any packing materials until told to do so; they may be required by for claims processing. Damaged items not returned within 30 days will be billed to the credit card on file.

Please check your order upon receipt; if you feel your order may be "incomplete" (missing cards) we must be notified within 3 business days from the day of delivery ('delivery' being defined as the date that the carrier delivered the package). Please note, that orders are checked for correct quantities during the printing process, and and twice again prior to packing. The shipping weight is based upon the number of cards shipped. Therefore, we will need to verify the packing materials used before processing a shortage claim - do not discard any portion of the packing materials.

If while in transit, your order should experience a delay which is covered by the shipper's guarantees, upon request, we will be happy to provide a credit to your shipping costs for the difference. We must receive this request within 5 business days after the actual delivery date of record. Please note, that weather related delays are not reimbursable. We cannot provide general order credits or refunds for shipments which are delayed less than 14 days due to circumstances beyond the shipper's control - i.e., weather, emergency conditions, change of delivery address, etc. We cannot provide refunds or issue credits for potential missing shipments not brought to our attention within 10 business days after the stated delivery date.


Sales Tax


Orders placed online by Texas residents will be charged sales tax of 8.25%, based upon the location of our administrative office in Lakeway, Texas.

Guarantee / Cancellation Policy


Your order will be handled by one of the most experienced online companies in photographic printing. We are very concerned about the impression our cards give when they are received by you, your family, friends and associates. Therefore, when possible, we make reasonable efforts to improve upon the overall quality of the images submitted to us, unless we are specifically told not to - i.e., if you are a photographer.

Guarantee Policy: We prepare all orders according to online previews, written instructions (when provided) and final proof approvals. Therefore, We Guarantee orders will be free from errors and/or defects which are within our direct control - for example, a typographical error made on our part. In such cases, please accept our sincere apologies - we will promptly re-produce the item(s), and ship the replacement prints free of charge, via UPS 2nd Day Air to the original shipping address. (Alaska & Hawaii are shipped Priority Mail.)

With regard to Customer Submitted Material, please consider that it is only possible to produce high-quality prints when high-quality images are submitted. Our guarantee does not cover material submitted for printing which is impaired in original quality - for example, images which are low resolution, blurred, or have exposure issues, color casts, etc. With this in mind, we suggest taking some time to closely screen your images for overall quality prior to submission. Due to variances among all types of printers and printing surfaces, it is not possible to match previously printed images.

Courtesy Reprints: We understand that mistakes happen. With a printed order, in any circumstance where the customer may be in error with regard to submitted and/or approved text or images, we will be pleased to offer a one-time edit, and re-produce the order at a 50% discount, not including shipping fees. All corrections must be submitted together, and reprint reqeusts received no later than the 10th day after the delivery date on record.

Due to the personalized nature our products, we are unable to accept returns.

All monitors are different in how the represent color. Therefore, it is not possible to guarantee that the color of any design or proof will match exactly to what is received in print. If you enjoy photography, or if more accurate color matching is important, we recommend the Pantone® Huey™ monitor calibration tool, or similar device.

Cancellation Policy : Our cards are designed by real people, who use their talents and spend the time necessary to create each order. In the event you wish to cancel after we have started work on your order, (sometimes less than 1 hour after submission) or if you fail to submit your proof response (for any reason) within 20 days after your order is placed, you will be charged a design/cancellation fee of $20 for the initial proof, plus $5 for each proof revision. In the event of cancellation, we will refund the cost of the order, minus the applicable cancellation fee.

The Online Preview System facilitates previewing unlimited designs with photos and text, with reasonable accuracy. Therefore, for Online Preview System orders - if you should wish to switch designs after using the preview system to place an order, please note the $20 cancellation fee does apply. By submitting an order, you are agreeing to this policy.

PhotoAffections.com™ respects and upholds the legal rights of photographers and image authors. It is UNLAWFUL for us to reproduce images that are copyrighted without the express written permission of the person or entity that created the original work. If you have a copyrighted image and wish to use if for personalizing your item(s), please contact the photographer to request a signed copyright release; once provided, we will keep this for our files. We cannot provide additional copies of this release once submitted. Please consider that the photographer or image author is not under any obligation by law to provide this release.
